UGC to Universities: revamp the curriculum

The University Grants Commission has made official recommendations on college
curriculum to include gender awareness and women’s safety content in their curriculum
with the proposed motivation to educate students about women’s contribution to society.
UGC recommended that, “in addition to increasing gender awareness about leadership, sacrifice
and the prominent role of women in all areas of life, include more content in the curriculum to
create a sense of respect for women and fight against the negative state of there are minds or
stereotypes that may arise in society ”.
Also encouraged institutes to organize conferences and webinars on the topic of “women’s safety”
to raise awareness of the dignity and respect of women.
