On behalf of UGC, the National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted for determining the
eligibility of Indian nationals ‘only for Assistant Professor’ or ‘for Junior Research Fellowship
and Assistant Professor both’ in Indian Universities and Colleges.

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master s Degree
OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC are eligible for
this Test.

The NTA will conduct the next UGC-NET exam for Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for
Assistant Professor on 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17 May 2021. The Test pattern is as
given below:
